July 2010 – Germany made the 3rd place at the soccer world championship, too bad. Kuhn & XXXX used every minute between the games to invent new snare drums. We also welcomed some well known drummers as new customers.

Gomezz, drummer for Reamon ordered a huge, fat 8” snare that we recently sent him. We are very proud of this model, because it has a distinctive voice – loud, clear and powerful. It is made for the big stages that Gomezz plays on.

Mario Garruccio, playing for Edo Zanki and Julia Neigel is a very busy drummer in the German music scene. He got a wonderful 6,5” snare that he already used for different live- and studio recordings. Kuhn & XXXX is his first choice when it comes to gigs that need a deep and fat snare sound.

We used our last company outing to hand over a personalized snare as a gift to our hero Smelly from NOFX. We branded his and his band’s name into the shell. The snare is made of walnut, cone-shaped and sounds dry and clear. It’s perfect for Smelly’s fast beats. Not only Smelly was happy and put the snare right on to his drumset, but his band mate El Hefe and his drumtech were fascinated and took a deep look at our drum. Man, we are proud!

Kuhn & XXXX Snares at :

DOLF (Christian Kuhn’s band) recorded and released an unplugged concert in Neu-Isenburg . Christian’s drummer Dany used a customized snare with a thin shell, that worked perfect togrther with the acoustic guitars. Christian used white lacquer for the snare and spared out the bands logo that shines in noble wood optics.

Crazy Bitch (XXXXX XXXX’s band) recorded a demo at the Black Solaris studios that is run by Uwe Lulis. Crazy Bitch is a tribute band to Buckcherry and wants to sound like the original. Christian built a snare that that not only sounds like after Buckcherry, but even better! XXXXX says thanks!

What else is going on? A lot! We are working on some projects that are ready to move from the drawing table to our manufacture. Some customer orders are waiting – again some of famous drummers – for delivery. We will tell you about it next time!
